iAdmin LLP, a developer of web filtering technologies, announces the release of a new version of iAdmin URL Filter, a web filter for corporate users.
The new version 1.4 adds support for additional Linuxes, such Debian and AltLinux. Compiling software modules has enabled us to meet customer requirements. The versions of all required dependencies will now match those included in the corresponding Linux distribution.
ACL support has been implemented for Squid Proxy; these can now be passed to us for filtering in rules using the adaptation_meta directive. This is very convenient for filtering by user groups, such as MS Active Directory domains.
A new “match” rule type has also been added for Squid, allowing website categories to be retrieved via the request header. iAdmin categories can then be processed directly in Squid rules.
