The "Internet Administrator" has three types of user
identification at the workstations. This schema is realized for
a normal understanding of who the rules and limitations work
for, and who the monitoring of access is achieved for. Usually
when statistics on the Internet usage is obtained all objects
are mixed into one "heap": IP addresses, workstations, user
names, etc. It is difficult to find out who actually downloaded
so much unnecessary data.
In the "Internet Administrator" it is possible to clearly
say that all conditions of access are applied to the user object
or the group of objects. Workstation is only the source of
activity of the user, who is identified on it at the given
moment.
By default the static mode of the user identification is
set. In this mode the "Internet Administrator" independently
detects workstations and users and rigid identification is
conducted. It is possible to say that in this mode the user - is
a workstation.
In the mode of identification by logon into MS Active
Directory, originally not one user is identified at the
workstations. After logon into the domain the concrete user of
the domain is connected with the workstation, at which the logon
took place. The entire activity of this workstation now will be
registered to this user.
The mode of identification according to the user name and
password is similar to the previous one. Here the user does not
necessarily have to log on into the domain, but has to enter his
name and password. Names and passwords of access must be
assigned earlier. There is a possibility of manual creation of
users and their accounts. This can be required, if you have more
users than workstations and you need additional accounts for
using the Internet.
